The classic five-dice scoring game with tumbling 3D dice on a felt tray. Roll up to three times a turn, hold the dice you like, and pick one of 13 boxes: ones through sixes (63+ earns a 35 bonus), three and four of a kind, full house, small and large straights, Yacht and chance. Extra Yachts pay a 100-point bonus with joker rules. Play the computer on Easy, Normal or Hard (an expected-value strategist), pass and play with 2–4 friends, chase a solo high score, or take on the daily seeded game. High score, games, Yachts, wins, daily streak and trophies are saved on your device.

How to play

Tap Roll to throw five dice. Tap dice to hold them, then roll again — up to three rolls per turn. Every open box shows the points your dice would score; tap one to lock it in. After 13 rounds the highest total wins. Reach 63 in the upper section for a 35-point bonus, and every extra Yacht after scoring 50 in the Yacht box adds 100.

Controls

Tap or click Roll, dice and score boxes. Keyboard: Space or R to roll, 1–5 to hold dice, Tab or Up/Down arrows to pick a box and Enter to score.

Tips and strategy

  • Aim for three of each number in the upper section, since that exactly reaches the 63 points needed for the 35-point bonus.
  • Avoid scratching the Yacht box early, because extra Yachts only pay the 100-point bonus if that box already holds 50.
  • A small straight needs four dice in a row for 30 points, so keep a run of four and roll the last die for a 40-point large straight.
  • Use Chance as a safety box for a poor final roll rather than filling it early with an average total.
  • Check the preview in each open box before you commit, since it shows exactly what your current dice would score.

Yacht Dice FAQ

How does the joker rule work in Yacht Dice?

If you roll another Yacht after the Yacht box is used, you must score it in the matching upper box if it is open. Otherwise you may use any open lower box at full value, such as 25 for a full house.

How many points is each category worth in Yacht Dice?

Upper boxes score the sum of that number. Three and four of a kind and Chance score the total of all dice. Full house is 25, small straight 30, large straight 40 and Yacht 50.

What is the daily game in Yacht Dice?

The daily game uses the same seeded dice for everyone on a given date. Your best daily score and your daily streak are saved on your device.

How hard is the computer in Yacht Dice?

You can choose Easy, Normal or Hard. The Hard computer plans its holds and box choices using expected-value strategy.
