An idle clicker in the Cookie Clicker style. Tap a giant glazed donut to bake, then spend donuts on 10 escalating buildings, from Bakers and Fryers to Space Bakeries and a Donut Portal, that bake for you every second. Buy upgrades that double your taps or building output, catch the golden donut for a Sprinkle Frenzy, and collect 23 awards. Progress autosaves, and your bakery keeps baking while you're away for up to 2 hours.
How to play
Tap the big donut to bake donuts. Spend them on buildings in the store. Each building bakes automatically, and each one you buy costs 15% more than the last. Buy upgrades to double your taps or a building's output. When a golden donut appears, tap it quickly for a Sprinkle Frenzy (7x production), a lucky batch of donuts, or a Tap Frenzy. Your game saves itself, and you earn offline donuts (up to 2 hours) when you come back.
Controls
Click or tap the donut to bake. Click or tap buildings and upgrades to buy them. Use x1, x10, or x100 to buy in bulk. Use the Buildings, Upgrades, Awards, and Stats tabs (arrow keys switch tabs). Keyboard: Tab to a button, then Enter or Space.
Tips and strategy
- Tap golden donuts quickly: they vanish after 13 seconds, and most of them start a 30-second Sprinkle Frenzy at 7x production.
- Buy each building upgrade as soon as it unlocks at 1, 5, 25, 50 and 100 owned, since each one doubles that building's output.
- A lucky batch pays the smaller of 15% of your banked donuts or 15 minutes of production, so keep a healthy bank before catching golden donuts.
- After catching 7 golden donuts, the Lucky Sprinkles upgrade makes them appear twice as often and stay twice as long.
- Tap Frenzy multiplies every tap by 77 for 13 seconds, so tap the big donut as fast as you can while it lasts.
Donut Tycoon FAQ
Does Donut Tycoon keep baking when I close it?
Yes. When you come back, you earn your normal donuts per second for the time you were away, up to 2 hours. Temporary boosts like Sprinkle Frenzy do not apply to offline earnings.
How do building prices work in Donut Tycoon?
Each building has a base price, and every one you own raises the next price by 15%. The x10 and x100 buttons add up those rising prices into one bulk purchase.
Can I reset my bakery in Donut Tycoon?
Yes. The reset option asks you to confirm, then clears your saved bakery and starts you over at zero donuts.
Privacy and saves
No account is needed. Progress and settings are saved only in this browser's localStorage (quokka-donut-tycoon-v1). You can erase them with Reset bakery in the Stats tab. In-game ads are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies; see the Quokka Games privacy policy.
