A physics merge puzzle in a jar. Aim and drop fruit; when two identical fruits touch they pop into the next bigger fruit, from cherry all the way to watermelon. Fruits roll, stack, and settle with real 2D physics. Keep the pile below the red line and chase a best score.
How to play
Move the held fruit left or right above the jar and drop it. Two identical fruits that touch merge into the next size up (cherry, strawberry, grape, orange, persimmon, apple, pear, peach, pineapple, melon, watermelon) and score triangular-number points; two watermelons vanish for a big bonus. Check the Next preview to plan ahead. The game ends when fruit stays above the red line for about two seconds.
Controls
Mouse: move to aim, click to drop. Touch: drag to aim, release to drop. Keyboard: Left/Right or A/D to aim, Space, Enter, or Down to drop.
Tips and strategy
- Only the five smallest fruits, cherry through persimmon, ever drop, so every bigger fruit has to be built by merging.
- Big merges are worth far more: points follow triangular numbers, so two cherries give 1 point while two melons give 55.
- Check the Next preview before each drop so you can set up the following merge instead of burying a small fruit.
- A brief bounce over the red line is safe; the game only ends when a landed fruit stays above it for 2 seconds.
- There is a half-second cooldown between drops, so take that moment to aim rather than clicking repeatedly.
Fruit Drop FAQ
How is the score calculated in Fruit Drop?
Merging two fruits scores a triangular number based on their size: 1 for cherries, 3 for strawberries, 6 for grapes and so on up to 55 for melons. Merging two watermelons scores 66 plus a 500-point bonus.
When does Fruit Drop end?
The game ends when a fruit that has landed stays above the red line for about 2 seconds. Merging to shrink the pile lowers the danger.
Does Fruit Drop save my best score?
Yes. Your best score is saved in this browser and shown at the top of the game.
