A classic side-scrolling platformer. Guide Pip across eight hand-built levels full of gaps, floating and moving platforms, springs, brick and mystery blocks. Stomp slimes and beetles, collect coins, find each level's hidden star and reach the goal flag with your three hearts intact. Stars and best coin counts are saved on the level select.
How to play
Run right and reach the goal flag at the end of each level. Jump on enemies from above to defeat them; touching them from the side costs a heart, and falling into a gap costs a heart and returns you to the last checkpoint. Bump mystery blocks from below for coins or hearts, break bricks, bounce on springs, ride moving platforms and look for the hidden star. Clearing a level unlocks the next one.
Controls
Arrow keys or A/D to run; Space, Up, W or Z to jump (hold for a higher jump); Esc or P to pause. On touch screens use the on-screen left, right and Jump buttons.
Tips and strategy
- Chain stomps without touching the ground: each enemy in the chain is worth double the last, from 100 up to 800 points.
- Hold jump as you land on an enemy to bounce much higher off it, which helps reach high ledges and hidden spots.
- Bump a block from below while an enemy walks on top of it to knock that enemy out for 100 points without risking a side hit.
- Heart blocks restore a lost heart, but if you already have all three hearts the pickup gives 100 bonus points instead.
- Reach the goal flag with hearts to spare: clearing a level awards 1000 points plus 250 for every heart you still have.
Pip's Quest FAQ
What happens when I lose all my hearts in Pip's Quest?
The level is lost and you can retry it from the start or return to the level select. Touching an enemy from the side or falling into a gap each costs one heart, and a fall returns you to the last checkpoint.
Does Pip's Quest save my progress?
Yes. Unlocked levels, whether you found each level's hidden star, and your best coin count and score per level are saved in local storage. A star only counts once you reach the goal flag after collecting it.
How many levels are in Pip's Quest?
There are eight hand-built levels. Clearing a level unlocks the next one on the level select.
