An endless vertical jumper in the Doodle Jump style. A glossy green alien with springy legs bounces on its own; you steer left and right to climb from platform to platform across a sketch-paper, pastel sky. Watch out for sliding, crumbling and one-hop platforms, grab springs and jetpacks for huge boosts, and bop hovering monsters from above. The higher you go, the sparser and trickier the platforms get. Your best height is saved on this device.
How to play
Your alien bounces automatically whenever it lands on a platform from above; you only steer left and right. Going off one side of the screen brings you back on the other. Green platforms are solid, blue ones slide sideways, brown ones crumble when you land on them (no bounce), and white ones vanish after one bounce. Springs launch you much higher and a jetpack flies you straight up for about two seconds. Land on a monster from above to bop it and bounce; touching it any other way knocks you out. Your score is the highest point you reach, and falling below the bottom of the screen ends the run. Platforms get sparser and more varied the higher you climb, but there is always a reachable one.
Controls
Left/Right arrow keys or A/D to steer, P or Esc to pause. With a mouse or touch, hold the left or right half of the board, drag your finger and the alien follows it, or hold the on-screen arrow buttons.
Tips and strategy
- Brown crumbling platforms are always extras placed between the real steps, so you never need them; aim for the next green, blue or white platform instead.
- While the jetpack is active, any monster you fly into is zapped away, so jetpack runs are the safest way through monster-heavy stretches.
- Only land on a monster while falling onto its top; touching it from the side or from below knocks you out and ends the run.
- Blue platforms sweep across the full width of the screen, so if one is out of reach, wait for it to slide back under you.
- Use the screen wrap: moving off one side brings you back on the other, which is often the shortest way to a distant platform.
Bounce Up FAQ
How is the score calculated in Bounce Up?
Your score comes only from the highest point you reach. Springs, jetpacks and bopping monsters help because they push you higher, not because they award separate points.
Is there always a platform I can reach in Bounce Up?
Yes. The level generator checks that every solid platform in the main path can be reached with a normal bounce from the one before it. Crumbling brown platforms are placed as extras and are never needed.
When do monsters and jetpacks appear in Bounce Up?
Neither appears at the very start. Jetpacks and monsters only begin to show up after you have climbed a good distance, and monsters become more common the higher you go.
Does Bounce Up save my best height?
Yes. Your best score is saved in your browser on this device, and shown when you play again.
