An idle property tycoon that runs on its own clock. You start with one rented room above a laundromat and a little cash, and every minute another month of rent arrives. Spend it on homes, shops, hotels and whole new districts across four branches, hire managers so buildings earn while you are away, and trade stocks, crypto and a property fund on the side. Life keeps interrupting: burst pipes, rent strikes, storms, tax audits, rate hikes, viral reviews and offers that are too good to be true. Eight people in Metro City can help or betray you, and investors will pay cash now for a slice of your rent forever. Reach a billion and the skyline is yours.
How to play
Money arrives on its own as months pass, so your job is to decide. Buy levels of each building with x1, x10 or Max; every tenth, fiftieth and hundredth level multiplies its rent. Hire a manager to lift the self-managed penalty and keep a building earning while you are away. New branches open as your net worth grows. When an event card appears, each choice shows what it will do, except the gambles marked with a question mark. Golden Keys can warp a whole year forward, rewind your last choice, leak the next market event or bail you out of debt once.
Controls
Everything is a button or a tab. x1 speed is always free; x2 and x3 are ten-minute boosts from a rewarded ad or diamonds. The game pauses while an event, report or ad is on screen.
Tips and strategy
- Push buildings to key levels: level 10 doubles rent, level 25 halves upkeep, level 50 doubles rent again and level 100 triples it.
- Buildings without a manager lose 25% of their rent while you play and earn nothing offline, so hire managers for your biggest earners first.
- Investors take a cut of your rent forever, and buying them out later costs their share of 36 months of rent, so accept offers sparingly.
- Aim for strong yearly growth, since the year-end report grades net worth growth and awards bonus diamonds for an A (net worth doubled) or an S (up 300% or more).
- Save a Golden Key for Rewind, which undoes your last event choice if you use it within two months of making that choice.

Does Skyline Tycoon earn money while I'm offline?
Only buildings with a manager keep earning, at half their normal rent, for up to 8 hours away. Unmanaged buildings earn nothing while you are gone.
When do new branches unlock in Skyline Tycoon?
Residential is open from the start. Commercial unlocks at a net worth of $20,000, Hospitality at $1 million and Development at $40 million.
How do I get Golden Keys in Skyline Tycoon?
You earn a Golden Key for every five goals you complete, and some goals give keys directly. Keys pay for Time Warp, Rewind, Insider Tip or a one-time Bailout.
What does Time Warp do in Skyline Tycoon?
Time Warp costs one Golden Key and skips 12 months at once, paying you everything your buildings earn in that time. Events do not interrupt the warp.
