A fast shedding card game with a full 108-card deck: match the color or number, hit rivals with Block, Flip and +2 cards, change color with Rainbow wilds, and call One! before you go out. Play against 1 to 3 animal opponents with their own personalities on Easy, Normal or Hard. Optional house rules add draw-until-playable, +2/+4 stacking and 7-0 hand swaps. First to 500 points wins the match.
How to play
Play a card that matches the top card's color, number or symbol, or play a Rainbow wild and pick the next color. If you can't play, draw a card. Block skips the next player, Flip reverses the direction, and +2 and Rainbow +4 make the next player draw. Press One! when you have one card left: if a rival catches you first, you draw 2. Empty your hand to score the cards left in everyone else's hands. The first player to 500 points wins.
Controls
Tap or drag a glowing card onto the pile to play it. Tap the deck or the Draw button to draw, and Keep to hold a card you just drew. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys to pick a card, Enter to play, D to draw, P to keep and pass, O to call One! or catch a rival, 1-4 to choose a wild color, and Esc for the menu.
Tips and strategy
- When a rival is down to one or two cards, shed wilds (50 points) and action cards (20 points) first, since the winner scores what you hold.
- Press One! while holding two cards on your turn; if a rival catches you at one card without calling, you draw 2.
- In a two-player game, Flip works like Block and gives you another turn right away.
- With the stacking rule on, answer a +2 with another +2 or a Rainbow +4 to push the whole pile to the next player.
- Hard rivals always call One! and catch a missed call most of the time, so never skip the call on Hard.
Color Cards FAQ
How is the score calculated in Color Cards?
The player who empties their hand scores the cards left in everyone else's hands: number cards count their face value, Block, Flip and +2 count 20, and wild cards count 50. The first player to 500 points wins the match.
What house rules can I turn on in Color Cards?
You can enable draw-until-playable, stacking of +2 and +4 cards, and the 7-0 rule, where a 7 swaps hands with a player you choose and a 0 passes every hand in the direction of play.
Can I play a card I just drew in Color Cards?
Yes, if it is playable. You can play the drawn card right away or press Keep to hold it and end your turn.
Does Color Cards save an unfinished match?
Yes. A match in progress is saved in this browser, and you can pick it up again with the Resume button.
