Classic FreeCell with all 52 cards dealt face up into eight columns, four free cells and four foundations. Build down in alternating colours, move runs as far as your free space allows, and send every card home from Ace to King. Deals use the classic numbered-game layouts from 1 to 32000, so you can replay a favourite deal by number or play a random one. Includes unlimited undo, hints, safe auto-moves to the foundations, a timer, a move counter, and saved win/streak stats.

How to play

Move all 52 cards to the four foundations, building each suit up from Ace to King. In the eight columns, place a card on one rank higher of the opposite colour. Any card can wait in one of the four free cells, and any card or valid run can fill an empty column. You can move a run of cards at once up to (free cells + 1) × 2^(empty columns), halved when moving into an empty column. Cards that can no longer be needed are sent home automatically.

Controls

Drag a card or run to move it, or tap a card and then tap its destination. Double-click or double-tap a card to send it to a foundation or a free cell. Keyboard: 1–8 select columns, Q/W/E/R select free cells, F sends to a foundation, U or Ctrl+Z undoes, H shows a hint, N starts a new game.

Tips and strategy

  • Keep free cells and empty columns open as long as possible, because the longest run you can move at once doubles with every empty column.
  • Moving a run into an empty column halves the maximum run size, so fill empty columns with long runs only when you have spare free cells.
  • Press H when stuck: the hint highlights the most promising legal move, favoring ones that move the most cards usefully.
  • Undo is unlimited, so test a risky line and back out with U or Ctrl+Z if it leaves you with no legal moves.

FreeCell FAQ

Can I replay a specific FreeCell deal?

Yes. Deals follow the classic numbered layouts from 1 to 32000, so you can enter a deal number to replay it or start a random deal instead.

Which cards are moved to the foundations automatically in FreeCell?

Aces and twos always go up automatically. Higher cards only go up when both opposite-color foundations have reached one rank lower and the other same-color foundation is within two ranks, so the card can no longer be needed.

What happens if I run out of moves in FreeCell?

The game shows a No legal moves left message. You can undo as many moves as you like to try another line, or restart the deal.

Does starting a new FreeCell game affect my streak?

Yes. Abandoning a deal after your first move, by starting another game or leaving the page, resets your current win streak. Wins, games played and your best streak are saved on your device.
